Spires Interiors recently completed work renovating the master bedroom of this property in the heart of Colchester, Essex, with a suite of fully-bespoke wardrobes and cabinetry. Here’s how we achieved this look.
A bedroom renovation is often overlooked when it comes to improving your home, with other rooms like the kitchen and bathrooms taking priority when it comes to budget and timescale. However, as the room that you start and end each day in, having a cosy, relaxing, and well-organised master bedroom is pivotal, especially if you don’t have the luxury of a dedicated dressing room.A cluttered bedroom is the enemy of a good night’s sleep, and a common culprit of this is disorganised clothes, shoes, handbags, blankets, and throws, not to mention overflowing bedside cabinets and under-bed storage. Having sufficient fitted wardrobe and cupboard space to keep everything organised is crucial in avoiding a cluttered bedroom and bespoke bedroom storage is a great way to achieve this.
Fitted Bedrooms in Essex
For this project, our team of fitters started by removing the old bedroom and preparing for the installation of the new furniture, laying of carpets, new doors and integrated lighting system, whilst our expert craftsmen created two banks of bespoke, floor-to-ceiling built-in wardrobes and two bedside cabinets to fit the space perfectly. These fully-fitted, bespoke wardrobes feature an in-built, motion-sensored lighting system that activates when the doors are opened, creating an ambient glow around the space.

As you enter the room, you get an immediate sense of the style and sophistication of the space with bespoke dark-stained wood doors with an eye-catching rectangular brass inlay and milled brass handles. Next to the door sits a wall-mounted smart home panel, so that the owners can see key information at a glance. Coated in Hague Blue from Farrow & Ball, the wardrobes have a stunning sheen to the finish, and the walnut interior compliments the stylish blue exterior.
