Spires Interiors recently completed this stunning modern en-suite bathroom renovation in Essex, featuring a his and hers double vanity unit with freestanding bowl sinks, a double walk-in shower, and a beautiful backlit, motion-sensitive mirror. Here’s how we achieved this look.
Our client wanted to renovate their master en-suite bathroom as it had become quite dated and didn’t fit well with the bedroom it was attached to. If you’re lucky enough to have an en-suite bathroom, you’ll know how important it is that it’s a clean, welcoming, and relaxing space – after all, it’s one of the first rooms you enter every day, and one of the last you use before bed. A dated or tired en-suite can negatively affect your mood and sleep, so it’s vital you have a space you love.
Before our team set to work transforming our clients bathroom, the space was let down by a dated cream and red marble effect look, which badly needed updating. The new space features cabinetry from the Utopia Bathroom’s YOU range, with Midnight Grey Gloss doors and Linear Black frame. This is complimented beautifully by the chalk-white matt ceramic sit-on washbasins, and chrome mixer taps. The walls and floors feature the stunning Devon Grey tile from Tile & Stone Gallery, with Gunmetal Grout and Chrome Trim, in two sizes – larger for the floor tiles and smaller for the wall.
The end result is a clean and contemporary en-suite bathroom that oozes style and sophistication. Colours take a back seat in this bathroom, with textures and finishes giving the space it’s character and charm. It’s an en-suite that promises a relaxing and reinvigorating experience, whether you’re having a refreshing morning shower or winding down for bed.

The rip out and install followed the works schedule spot on, even when the floor had to be self levelled. The trade staff were of the highest standard and I’ve been in the business for some 30 years.
The build standard of the kitchen is really good. One of the Spires team came round to fix in location all the units to the kitchen ensuring everything fitted together and was flush to fit. The subcontractors were equally as diligent with their work.
