Spires Interiors recently completed the renovation of this bathroom in Colchester, Essex. By incorporating natural wood effect elements and complimentary fixtures and fittings, this calm and serene space makes for the perfect family bathroom. Here's how we achieved this look.
This customer came to us looking for a bathroom that would feel like a hotel, with warmth and comfort to create an oasis of sorts in their home. After getting some inspiration from our website and Pinterest images, they wanted a space that was sophisticated and stylish as well as practical and functional. By adding more storage under the sink with the mirrored unit above and the niches in the shower area there’s nothing out of place. The wood effect furniture with the brass elements and stone tiles work as an easy way to create a warm room that you can relax in as well as giving a real wow factor.
Utilising the Utopia Bathrooms QUBE range with a stunning Sorrento Walnut finish, this bathroom doesn't just have a sleek and stylish charm - by incorporating natural elements into the bathroom, we've been able to achieve a distinctly calm and serene feel, perfect for relaxing in the tub after a long day.
In this room, we used dusky walnut flooring from Colchester Carpets and Flooring to provide a natural, woody look to the room immediately as you enter. Whilst stone tiles are perhaps more common in a bathroom, the striking walnut grain sets the mood for the room perfectly.
This is paired with stunning 600 x 300 caramel tiles from Tile and Stone Gallery to maintain the fresh, natural feel as you look through the room. A stunning, white freestanding bath is undoubtedly the centrepiece of the room, with a sleek brushed brass freestanding mixer tap complimenting the bath beautifully. Next to this, a double walk-in shower, with brushed brass effect controls and slide rail, creates the perfect space for those refreshing morning showers.
The service was excellent at every step of the way, from sales through to completion. The property is over 100 years old, and so issues were discovered. The team were able to work around all of them to deliver on time. The quality of work was excellent, and time management to work around the issues was superb - the team handled everything. We’re very happy with the completed bathroom and would consider using Spires for any other work.
