Earls Colne Essex Farmhouse Bedroom En Suite

Spires Interiors recently completed work on a new build project in Earls Colne, near Colchester, Essex, including the design and installation of a master bedroom and en-suite, new kitchen and open-plan dining space, utility room, and guest bedrooms.

We enjoy being able to transform the homes of our customers, but designing the bedroom furniture for this customer was, in particular, a lot of fun. Developing ideas on colour schemes and furniture styles directly with the customer, as well as our workshop team building bespoke doors to match the bathroom furniture provided by Utopia.

The master bedroom utilises a headboard manufactured using Landau fronts to mirror the style of the wardrobe doors. Our workshop team created the boxing to be clad with the panels and the drawer units. By working closely with our suppliers we’re able to create amazing spaces using innovative solutions that are not just functional, but will also stand the test of time.

The colour scheme for the whole of the upstairs of this home was warm but remained neutral. It started with the bathroom vanity unit from Utopia’s Roseberry range and the colour in that informed the colour for the main bedroom and the second guest room, creating a unity and flow between the rooms. We colour-matched the Utopia colour for the other bathroom furniture and the main bedroom and went a shade different for the guest room to keep some continuity. The customer wanted their guest room to have dual use, using it as their dressing room when not in use. By installing a lower worktop with a vanity table, it makes a more usable space for the customer to get ready.
