Luxury Kitchen in Stansted Mountfitchet
Project Overview
Location: Stansted Mountfitchet
Project Type: Bespoke Kitchen with Luxurious Detailing
Design Style: Contemporary Classic with Warm Accents
Timeline: 8 Weeks
Challenge: Navigating a room with unique angles while creating a refined, practical kitchen tailored for family life
The Vision
This family had recently moved into their Stansted Mountfitchet home and were ready to transform the kitchen into a space that felt truly theirs. They envisioned a complete renovation, one that would honour the room’s unusual layout while delivering a luxurious, timeless design that could support the rhythms of daily family life.
They wanted a kitchen that was elegant yet usable, with thoughtful storage, integrated appliances, and a palette that felt both calm and characterful.
Design Challenge & Solution
Calm, Dark Green & English White Palette
To balance sophistication with warmth, we paired inky green and soft English white frontages with walnut and natural oak carcases. This dual-tone approach created visual depth and allowed the cabinetry to feel grounded yet refined. A slim top trim in both the green and walnut tones added a subtle layer of detail.
Luxurious Worktops & Warm Accents
The centrepiece of the kitchen is a waterfall-edge island in Calacatta gold soft quartz, paired with a walnut breakfast bar for casual dining. Quartz windowsills continue the material story, adding cohesion and understated elegance.
A Blanco ceramic butler sink anchors the space beneath the window, while Neff appliances, including a Slide & Hide® oven, induction hob, and warming drawer, are fitted into the same functional space as a gorgeous integrated wine fridge, offering seamless functionality and a touch of indulgence.
Seamless Storage Solutions
To work with the room’s angles, we designed bespoke cabinetry that maximised every inch. A wide butler’s pantry was added, complete with integrated LED strip lighting and power points for their essential breakfast and coffee-making items. Laundry appliances and their boiler are now stowed away behind a run of wall units.
Amtico flooring was chosen for its durability and warmth, tying the space together with a soft, tactile finish.
Bespoke Joinery & Craftsmanship
Every element was custom-built to suit the room’s proportions and the family’s needs:
- Dual-tone timber trim for subtle contrast
- Walnut and oak finish carcases for warmth and longevity
- Precision-fitted cabinetry around appliances and architectural features
- Seamless joins and professional finishing throughout
- Clean, respectful installation with minimal disruption
The Result
The kitchen now serves as the heart of the home. A space that’s both beautiful and practical. The deep green cabinetry, elegant quartz surfaces, and warm timber accents create a calm, cohesive environment for cooking, dining, and gathering.
