Kitchen Case Study

Woodbridge, Suffolk - Kitchen Renovation

Spires Interiors recently renovated this kitchen in Woodbridge, Suffolk transforming a practical, yet outdated kitchen into a stunning modern, cooking space. Here's how we did it.

The aim of this project was to update the kitchen and transform it into a modern, functional space. The sizeable kitchen and dining area had an adjoining utility room to the side, meaning that different functions of the room could be kept separate, allowing for plenty of food preparation and dining in the kitchen itself, whilst keeping food storage, refrigerator and washing machine/tumble dryer space in the utility room.

Starting in the main part of the kitchen, two-tone wall, and cabinet units provide a striking balance in the space, with carbon grey upper wall units and dove grey under worktop units. This makes the space feel more open and adds visual height to the room. This is paired with an on-trend, industrial-inspired compact laminate worktop, which provides a super tough and hard-wearing food preparation surface that is also versatile and easily cut to the specific needs of the space. The worktop is cut into an upstand, rising partially up the wall creating a cohesive look between the units and the wall. Behind the touch-sensitive hob, a stunning blue splashback adds a pop of colour and interest to the room. Opposite this, you'll find a  tower unit housing the duel oven, in carbon grey creating a link between the light grey cabinet units and the dark grey wall-mounted units.

These wall units are carried across into the adjoining utility room, creating a consistency between the two rooms. An under-counter washing machine and tumble dryer, along with a sink unit that matches that in the main part of the kitchen add functionality to the utility room.
